Bespa was instructed to completely refurbish the first floor, which is split into two separate areas. To create a modern functional workspace providing a new home for the team with a clean, natural look and feel. The space needed to deliver an environment that would accommodate the diverse needs of the team.
The project started by stripping the areas back to the core. This provided a blank canvas on which to base our design, whilst retaining some of the building's beautiful period features. Bespa undertook a comprehensive fit-out, including new ceilings, partitioning, flooring, plumbing and electrical work, task and feature lighting, data and WIFI throughout.
Bespa’s design provides two different work spaces. The first incorporates an open plan workspace, with a touchdown meeting bench and small teapoint. The second area provides focus rooms for the Business Development and Finance teams with a multi functional space designed for large meetings and training and their social space. The large table doubles as a snooker table that is finished in their brand colour. Alongside the large meeting table they brought their existing ping pong table for the space to encourage breakout time and support the social team nights. Sufficient flexibility has also been incorporated into the design to accommodate colleagues visiting from the company’s Leeds office.
Our design has a minimalist aesthetic with natural tones and accents of the bright brand colour palette throughout. Natural light transported through beautiful sash windows enhance the tones creating a bright and welcoming environment.
